Our family has been in the tea business for over 260 years since the Edo period in Kyoto Japan. The tea culture in Japan originated in Kyoto and Uji green tea is known as the highest grade. We keep our business with conviction that a cup of good tea helps us to be gentle and make a good relationship with others.

We produce and sell the Organically grown Uji Green Tea. The organic JAS logo is able to be attached to products that were produced or manufactured in accordance with relevant organic JAS Standards. So it's forbidden to name a product "Organic" without having the organic JAS certification.

Mr. Fuseda has been in organic tea farming since 1980. In those days his father who was the 6 generation was in poor state of health because of spraying of agricultural chemicals. Therefore, his son Masahiro Fuseda decided to start non-chemical and organic tea cultivation to produce truely safe  and healthy tea. Organic farming made microorganisms which were beneficial to the soils rich quality.

Iou-Sencha

This is green tea cultivated in the Dosenbo highland (Height above sea level: 500m) which is located in the northern part of Minamiyamashiro-mura Kyoto. 
There is a temperature difference between morning and night and the climate is humid. So good tea leaves can grow up there. Please enjoy Iou-sencha's refreshing aroma, and the perfect harmony of its sweet and bitter taste.
